Trail Reports
Yankee Springs
- feedback on trail work generally good
- some fine tuning needed at breaking turns
- some complaints from hunters that bikers need to just ride past, and not disturb.
CGSA
- 6 people turned up to end of season cleanup day, due to late notice
Bass River
- goal is to gravel raised section on back
- Dennis to carsonite sign on Oct 14th
Owassipe
- Bryan Meyers and West Coast Riders taking over trail, will do trail day October 14th
Big M
- Ken Blakey Shell + Steve Webster joining forces with X-Country Skiers to care for trail
Ski Area
- great response to trail work, next trail day october 14th
Hungerford
- Nate+Aaron met with forest service, september 30th with proposal was well recieved and approved.
- 2 phase project: phase 1 improves existing trail, signs, maps, and named sections.
- phase 2 corridor approved for flagging new trail
- realistically 25 mile trail in 5 years?
- forest service has funds
- signage = clockwise
Freeride
- Jason Dew presented proposal to form freeride comittee
- showed examples of good and bad freeride stunts
- group agreed to persue freeride options, was enthusiastic.
- Jason to head up freeride group/committee
- possibility of adding features to Cannonsburg Ski area.
newsletter
- submission deadline November 6th
- to be released mid november, for Thanksgiving receipt
Time Trial
- Sue, Tim, Dennis, Jason, Martin met with Cathy from Fort Custer and Chris Cataldo
- work with CPS to set time line
- Cris sending RFP to timing companies, proposals due by january
- pushing for online preregistration
- Sue to set up PO box for chapter
